Details regarding HARTRON are as follow.


SWAN Hartron manages the State Wide Area Network (SWAN). This network connects State Headquarter with District Headquarters, Sub-Divisions and Tehsils through optical fibre. About 1068 offices of various departments use SWAN for Internet and data transfer.

SDC - Hartron manages the State Data Centre (SDC). Software applications and databases of various departments are hosted here. SDC is Tier-II certified with a capacity of 27 Racks.
Research - Hartron operates a research facility at Ambala which provides facilities for testing and calibration of electronic, electrical, mechanical and optical instruments. The centre also Imparts training in electronics, opto-mechanical fabrication techniques and entrepreneurship development.

WiFI villages: Hartron enables roll out of Rural Wi-Fi in 1000 BharatNet enabled Gram Panchayats of the State. In urban areas, Public Wi-fi facility is being provided to 105 urban locations of administrative and historical importance.


Bharatnet – Hartron facilitated the roll out of BharatNet by BBNL in the State.
IT Policies – Hartron implements the IT & ESDM policy, Entrepreneurship & Startup policy, Cyber Security Policy and Communication & Connectivity Infrastructure Policy.
E-Office - Hartron is implementing the e-office project in the State Govt. departments, Boards and Corporations.

Ease of Business – Hartron provide the IT backup for the ease of doing business web-portal of the State.

IT Services – Hartron provides support to Govt. Departments for Software Development and Website Hosting and handles their projects like Preparation of Electoral Photo Identity Cards and Electoral Rolls for Haryana and Chandigarh; Electricity Billing of UHBVNL & DHBVNL; Scanning & Digitization of Data for all departments.

IT Manpower – Hartron provides IT trained manpower to various departments of the State after conducting screening process.

IT Hardware – Hartron procures IT Products for various Departments / Boards / Corporations of the State.

Atal Sewa Kendras (ASKs)/Common Services Centers – Hartron And CSC SPV, Govt. of India, have established more than 6000 ASKs across the State to provide G2C and B2C services to the citizens.

Hartron Innovation Hub - located at Gurugram, this centre is an incubator hub wherein NASSCOM and IAMAI have tied up with Hartron to setup startup Warehouse. Hartron also manages an IOT centre of Excellence at the same campus in collaboration with MeiTY and NASSCOM. United Nation

Technology Innovation Lab (UNTIL) is also being established at this centre to encourage women entrepreneurship and to enhance digital inclusion.

Nodal agency for SETC – Hartron is Nodal Agency for conducting State Eligibility Test (SETC) in Computers Appreciation & Applications (SETC) for Group ‘C’ posts.


Hartron Franchise Centres – There are 81 Hartron Skill Centres running 24 IT courses of varying duration (1 month to 1 year). Training is being imparted to about 25000 candidates annually.

CSC Academy - To meet the training related needs of CSC ecosystem (Atal Seva Kendras) an academy is being set up by CSC SPV, Govt. of India at Hartron Multi Skill Development centre, Gurugram.

State Call Centre – Hartron has set up a call centre under the IBPS scheme of Union Ministry of Electronics & IT. Various departments interact with citizens through this call centre.
